Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was TV personality and ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. Burrell hosts her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network presenter with her distinctive long, blonde hair with a bubbly personality, reveals simple to learn techniques and eliminates the fear of eating at restaurants on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell was a student and worked in the best New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. As a child in the upper reaches of New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love of cooking and food at a young age. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute during my time in The Culinary Institute of America she says. Culinary Institute of America was a great location to learn. After graduation, chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy taking classes at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she grew to truly appreciate and understand the philosophy of Italian culinary and cultural traditions that left a lasting impact in her point of view. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of children who are struggling. Burrell is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate in which she raises awareness about the condition of children with diabetes. as a speaker, guest and mentor she travels across the US to talk about her passion for cooking as well as her professional career. Anne, throughout her entire culinary journey has stated that it's an honor to be in a position to be able to share this love of life with others.
